Both teenagers and adults can use SureSmile®. Let’s take a brief look at the SureSmile® process so you know what to expect should you choose this course of orthodontic treatment.

Unlike traditional braces, there are no wires or brackets with SureSmile®. The aligners are made of an advanced material called Essix® Ace that allows them to fit snugly around the many contours of your teeth so that pressure is applied in the correct areas. The pressure exerted by the aligner will cause tiny movements in your teeth over time, and you’ll begin to see amazing results in just a few weeks of treatment.

As your teeth shift their position, the used aligners are replaced with your next set; this switch happens every two weeks or so. Each aligner is designed to accomplish a specific movement so that your smile slowly progresses over several months. Your SureSmile® dentist, Dr. Bath, usually gives you a few aligners at a time, so you won’t need to come to the office repeatedly.

You must wear the aligners for 22-24 hours a day (or whatever Dr. Bath recommends). It’s imperative to follow our instructions so your treatment goes exactly as planned. At the beginning of the SureSmile® process, we can even show you what your smile will look like when you’re done; our revolutionary smile design technology allows us to show you a perfectly straight smile before you even begin your journey.
