The CEREC® Procedure
Same-day CEREC® (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramic) crowns allow us to provide efficient and aesthetically pleasing dental restorations that will amaze you. CEREC® ceramic crowns are made using the most innovative dental technology available today so we can make any necessary revisions at your appointment. You don’t have to come back and have a temporary crown replaced with a permanent crown.
For our same-day crown procedure, we use a technology known as “CAD/CAM,” which stands for “Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing.” Using a camera, computer, and milling machine, Dr. Bath can quickly apply a CEREC® crown to a damaged tooth.
Our camera takes digital impressions of your damaged tooth, which is displayed on a monitor. CAD/CAM technology designs your tooth restoration and automatically creates it on-site. The CEREC dental restoration is bonded to your existing tooth, and this whole process only takes about two hours, which is much preferred over the two visits required at dental offices with no lab.

CEREC® Benefits
We have already mentioned that our same-day dental restorations only require one appointment at Impressions Dentistry, and that’s a significant advantage to many patients with busy schedules. Another benefit of CEREC® is that when well made by a CEREC® dentist like Dr. Bath, these crowns can last for ten to fifteen years. By fixing your damaged tooth with a CEREC® crown, we will improve your oral health and reinforce any damage with long-lasting crowns that look and feel great.
